**Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team for a seasonal, summer student position at Westland Greenhouses. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, demonstrate product features, and ensure a positive shopping experience. If you love plants & people and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you *End of April 2025 start date is required
- position runs until end of August (or earlier, if needed)

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their shopping needs.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance in product selection and recommendations.
- Watering of plants both indoors and outdoors
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor.
- Sweeping, lifting, moving in a fast-paced environment
- Assisting customers with carry outs as needed
- Pruning, cleaning, watering plants of all shapes and sizes

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
- College/University student preferred as you must be able to start by end of April 2025
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn about new products and services.
- A strong plant knowledge is an asset, but not required. We are always willing to train the right students

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
