**Hourly Rate **:$23.00 - $25.50
**Location**: Calgary, Alberta

This role is pivotal as the primary support for commercial/industrial customers, responsible for service and installation of Doors and Docks in todays every-changing market. Our apprentice positions offers an opportunity to grow with the business and become a master technician

We have a solid backlog of work and are looking for the right team members to join our crew In this position as a Commercial Apprentice, you will learn, under the direction of your lead crew man, the areas of installing, troubleshooting and repairing commercial/industrial doors, door opening systems, gate opening systems and dock leveling systems. This position has working conditions that expose you to various weather conditions and require you to work in a dirty, dusty, oily environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the service and install various products, including sectional doors, rolling doors, and high speed doors.
- Assist with repair and troubleshoot defective equipment.
- Assist with maintaining proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle.
- Assist with accurate timekeeping; detailing job numbers, travel time, labeling equipment, and completing job assignments timely.
- Observe lead Technician interact with customers, end-users, and general contractors courteously and professionally.
- Assist with performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Promote the company’s operational visions, values, and goals.
- Participate in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his/her designate.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in rolling, high speed, and sectional doors preferred but contact us if you have some or most of the above.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Some travel required (overnight, on call)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - Class 5
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle a physical workload.
- Proficient with power tools.
- Independent work capability.
- Service-oriented individual with effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Adaptability to a changing work environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass background check
- Basic math skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- Must be able to work in any weather conditions (indoors/outdoors).
