**_Your new role will be_**

As our newest **Apprentice Service Technician (based in Calgary),** you’ll get the opportunity to put your knowledge in practice and **explore, grow and develop your technical skills** while **building strong relations** with our customer base. Joining our team of Service Technicians, you will be providing **high-quality service and maintenance** to our industry leading **air compressors**, as well as other non-Atlas Copco brand equipment. In your new role, you will be supported by receiving necessary trainings, being **partnered with an experienced Service Technician** and have opportunities to expand your equipment knowledge.

**_The main activities you’ll be responsible for_**
- Providing maintenance and service on our customer’s Atlas Copco products, as well as other brand equipment, and advising them about the general operations of their machines and maintenance requirements
- Commissioning new equipment and effectively diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
- Supporting our local customer base and developing new customers by promoting Atlas Copco products on-site or through other communications
- Updating your product knowledge by reading instruction books, technical bulletins, in referring to any other technical information system, and other company resources, and by actively participating in the training programs as offered by the company
- Proudly representing the face of Atlas Copco when connecting with the customer on-hand by following and demonstrating company standards and exceeding the expectations of our valued customers
- Managing daily administrative duties such as ensuring time sheets and other paperwork are signed by customer when applicable and submitted timely, as well as preparing service reports
- Advising the operations service manager and/or the service sales representative of any new business opportunities

**_What will help you succeed in your new role_**
- You are **in the process of completing** studies in **Industrial Electrician, Millwright, Instrumentation or**similar trade
- You have excellent **customer service skills** and can build strong customer relations
- You have a valid **driver’s license** and a clean abstract
- You are **proficient using computers** for communication, research, work orders and programming various controllers
- You are open to **travelling** to customer locations (out-of-town/overnight) as well as being on-call on evenings, weekends and holidays
- You are comfortable working in **i**n**d**u**s**tr**i**al e**n**v**i**r**o**n**m**e**n**t**s** including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, kneeling and lifting 50lbs on a regular basis
