Join our Warehouse team in Whitby, ON Now hiring a Warehouse Supervisor - Midnight Shift for one of Canada's Best Managed Companies

**Shift**: Sunday to Thursday - 11:00pm - 7:30am

**THE ROLE**:
You are an experienced warehouse professional with expertise in all areas of warehouse duties. You are collaborative and inspire people to be the best they can be. You realize the importance of “The Perfect Order” and are driven to ensure excellent customer experiences. You thrive in an active role, welcome the challenge of leadership, and enjoy working with a diverse group of people to ensure company success.

**Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse employees in all aspects of warehouse duties;
- Ensure continuous open communication with all other shift supervisors and departments;
- Maintain employee records for your direct reports including training, discipline, incentives, injuries etc.;
- Provide career mentorship and conduct regular performance evaluations with all direct reports;
- Determine areas of improvement for employees, providing additional training as needed;
- Enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment;
- Take responsibility for hiring, delegation, disciplinary actions, terminations, vacation scheduling and appropriate coverage as needed;
- Continuously identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1-5 years or more warehouse experience and 1 year or more in a leadership role
- Effective leadership ability, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees including experience with coaching and employee development;
- Must demonstrate an adherence to all HACCP and Food Handling practices;
- Must have experience and/or training within a warehouse environment and with WHMIS, food safety, lifting techniques and Material Handling Equipment;
- Strong knowledge of First In First Out (FIFO);
- Be physically fit to lift heavy product (up to 80lbs) and enjoy an active career;
- Must excel in a fast paced shipping and warehouse environment;
- First Aid Certification would be an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
