Tom's RV Service & Supplies Ltd. is a busy RV service and parts business located in Greater Victoria, BC. We are currently looking for a Working Shop Foreman. This position is full time, permanent and offers a competitive wage and benefits.
If you are a Red Seal RV Technician reading this, then you are already familiar with the types of duties and work done on a day-by-day basis. If you are looking for a new Team to join and are interested in being a lead by example type of person, I am looking for you. This will be a leadership role.
This is more than just a job it is a lifestyle. Work hard Monday to Friday, but in the evenings and weekends Vancouver Island is your playground. The large island is home to beautiful beaches, breath taking parks and unique architecture.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure jobs are completed in accordance with the commitments made to the customer either being in our shop or on the road with our mobile service.
- Ensuring production, productivity and workflow is achieved.
- Ensures technicians are working at high levels, while managing their work for accuracy and completeness, but still able to deliver quality service by having the customers goals achieved.
- Assist in all technical aspects including diagnosis, troubleshoot, problem solving and parts support where required.
- Manage a team of technicians, apprentices in all aspects of productivity including quoting and invoicing when required.
- Ensure shop equipment and tools are being maintained, cleaned and safe to help with the safety and productivity for the technician.
- Ability dispatching jobs, identifying warranty issues,
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Some on hands technical work is required.
Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Physical Requirements:
- Red Seal RV Technician
- Drivers License
- Mechanical, electrical and electronics aptitude; troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Good communication, organizational and learning skills
- Ability to upgrade and learn new skills as technology advances
- Self motivated and great team member
- Pride in workmanship and the desire to deliver a superior result.
- Commitment to safety and maintaining safe working conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, carry, and lift objects up to 25 kgs, and able work at awkward angles
