Personal Support Worker

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their mental well-being.
- Help clients with mobility and daily living activities to enhance their independence.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status.
- Support clients with dementia care by implementing appropriate strategies for engagement and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be willing to undergo background checks as required by the organization.
