Would you like to work for an industry-leading structural steel provider?

SIN Structures Inc., a division of Steelcon Fabrication Inc., in St. Catharines, Ontario is seeking an experienced and results-driven individual, interested in managing an afternoon shift in the fabrication shop. Responsibilities include, managing staff, managing production, insuring quality standards are being met, and addressing health & safety issues.

**As a shift manager you will contribute to our team by**:

- Ensuring team members are following production schedule & implements corrective action to prevent deviation to meet target dates.
- Ensuring all production is completed correctly, within quality standards and on time as per production schedule.
- Administering all company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance.
- Championing safety initiatives with operations in accordance with safety policies, which include safety inspections, safety meetings, and safety compliance
- Providing coaching to team members to improve performance including counseling and disciplining, when necessary.
- Performing other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.

**What you will bring to this role**:

- Post
- Secondary Education with a technical focus and experience in a supervisory role
- Certified CWB Welding Supervisor is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in:

- Structural fitting & welding,
- An understanding in CNC machine operation.
- Overhead crane experience
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong Knowledge of general steel fabrication processes, equipment, and workflows.
- Experience with blueprint reading
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the set up and operation of welding machine.
- Experience with welder concepts, practices, and procedures
- Communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
- Experience with all machines and processes in a welding environment.
- Computer proficient MS Office (Word, Excel)
