Maintenance at Edmonton

**Description**:
The Maintenance staff performs a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth operation of the parking facility, while delivering service that exceeds our customer/client’s expectations. Depending on the needs of the location, the Maintenance staff is primarily responsible for general maintenance and repair of parking lots. At times, they may need to record any suspicious activities onsite to either security or law enforcement.
The Maintenance staff will work closely with fellow team members, supervisors, and management to ensure that quality and safety standards are met at all times. They are to ensure that all operational policies and procedures are adhered to, build and maintain positive relationships, minor servicing of equipment and vehicles (fueling, windshield fluid top up, etc.), and meeting cleanliness and safety standards at all times with the goal in mind to exceed teammate, supervisor, and management expectations.
**Physical Demands**:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work may be performed outdoors for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand and walk for longer periods of time up to the entire duration of shift.
- Be able to bend, crouch, twist, climb stairs, push/pull, and reach overhead.
- Be able to perform repetitive motions while completing tasks
- Able to use snow blower packs, shovels, ice chippers etc.
**Work Environment**:
Please note that some shifts may qualify for a premium. The position is Sunday to Saturday and the shift hours could be any time during the winter months as snow removal is required from properties. Be available for on-call shifts on occasion. The role is seasonal with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the spring.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with sign installation and/removal, litter pick-up and garbage removal, and pressure washing as directed
- Snow removal
- Representing the company in the case of accidents within the facility
- Coordinating with the property security as required with any garage (including security and safety risks) and/or parking related issue
- Assist with repair of broken gate arms
- Responsible for equipment belonging to Impark or the Property Manager. Treat all equipment with care and as if it were your own
- Responsible for prioritization of various jobs with supervisors/manager
- Responsible for tracking levels of stock as well as supplies
- Interact face to face with our customers (Service is priority)
- Must ensure that the site at which the individual is working is kept clean, neat, and free of any obstacles in accordance with the requirements of that site using the equipment required/provided to perform these duties
- Perform vehicle inspections/walk arounds and report any issues to the team lead and management.
- Maintain the cleanliness/appearance of workspaces such as company vehicles, common areas, maintenance areas, etc.
- Has all tools and equipment required to perform duties
- Make suggestions and recommendations relating to the way various jobs are performed
- Consults with supervisor or manager regarding items of relevance to the parking operation
- Each employee is required to log all the issues/events and bring them to the attention of the direct supervisor
- When dealing with challenges, the employee will coordinate with his his/her supervisors or manager in order to achieve a resolution to the situation
- Uniforms must be worn when on duty in a neat and well groomed manner. Appearance is representative of the company. Maintain a professional image
- Observe all relevant traffic and safety laws
- Maintain operation key log sheet and gas card log sheet.
- Completion of data entry and related paperwork. Prepare accurate and detailed work orders, activity reports, and incident reports.
- Follow up with the team lead and management on any potential issues.
- Other duties that may be assigned by supervisors or management.
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical education is an asset
- Comfortable with devices running both Android and Apple Operating Systems.
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Active listening skills and the ability to understand and explain technical language.
- Knowledge of geographical area for Edmonton and its surrounding areas such as Sherwood Park, etc.
- Understanding of hazards and ability to follow safe working practices, policies, and procedures.
- Must possess a valid Canadian license, have a clean driver abstract (less than 3 demerits), and be able to operate motor vehicles (automatic or manual transmissions)
