The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada (RAMWC) recently opened our new 86,000 sq. ft facility location on the James A. Richardson International Airport campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Museum is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the history of aviation in Western Canada. The new Museum showcases 27 aircraft and many unique aviation artefacts from its collection, presented from a story-driven approach.

**The Role**

The Event Staff will work under the direction of the Internal Rental & Events Specialist to assist in the successful execution of special event bookings with support from other staff and volunteers. The incumbent will prepare, set up, and organize the event facility in tandem with specific directives and guest expectations. The role will also support the event with bussing duties, clearing, and supervise the overall cleanliness of the event.

**Description of Tasks**
- Prepare event venue under direction of client expectations
- Maintaining event cleanliness including bussing duties, clearing, etc.
- Other duties deemed necessary for the success of the event

**Qualifications**
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication abilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to independently lift 50 pounds.
- Prior experience with banquets, weddings, hotel or restaurant service considered an asset
- Smart Choices Certification preferred

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 0-20 per week

**Salary**: $14.00-$18.00 per hour
