**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY**

**Family Circle Coordinator**

**The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking one (1) highly motivated individual for the term position of Family Circle Coordinator (Family/Community). **Reporting to the Director of Justice, the Family Circle Coordinator position is responsible to respond to community and family requests for conflict resolution or mediation, consulting with internal departments, consult with external agencies (eg: Ministry, ICFS, RCMP, Schools, First Nations etc.) to determine what types of services are needed and provide mediation services for community referrals.
- **Duties**:_
- Community Consultations and establishing working relationships in the communities
- Presentations of the program and benefits of mediation
- Participate and complete training as required
- Research community resources
- Development of promotional materials
- Develop guidelines and processes in conjunction with Restorative Justice principles,
- Development of a database to track numbers for reporting and statistical purposes
- Seek long-term funding and program expansion opportunities
- Conduct/or participate in Community Workshops and Training
- Conduct mediations in community, schools, and families
- Refer clients to appropriate services
- Complete a program evaluation at end of the term
- Other duties as assigned.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Must have knowledge of Restorative Justice Principles.
- Must have 2 years of prior experience working with the public, youth, and adults, or in the area of Restorative Justice
- Certification or experience in mediation is a definite asset.
- Must be willing to travel and must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle and must submit a current Criminal Record Check.
- Work irregular or extended hours to complete special requests and/or projects.
- Must be able to work as a team member and unsupervised.
- The environment requires excellent organizational, time management and stress management skills.

**Salary: To Commensurate with qualifications. Combination of education, relevant training and work experience will be considered.**
