Landscape Construction

**We are looking for a skilled labourer with experience in landscape construction or more general construction.**:

- **Starting wage is not fixed to $25-30/hr. It depends on experience, skills and enthusiasm for the craft.**

**For example, our last hire, earlier this year, started at $23/hr as a labourer; and went up to $25/hr by 2pm that afternoon because he showed some valuable experience and focused hard work. At three months in, his wage increased to $28/hr because he had improved immensely and took on more responsibility and ownership of his work.**

We want to keep and reward excellent employees, so we are incentivized to increase your hourly rate accordingly.

**What we are looking for in a new skilled labourer**:

- Experience in landscape construction is ideal; with a knowledge of how to install various aspects of landscape elements such as, retaining walls, decks, fences, pavers, and construction that is directly transferable to landscape construction. This includes: concrete forming, framing, finishing carpentry, block work, etc.
- Punctuality - this is important because we, as a team, rely on each other.
- Desire to work hard and consistently push a project forward.
- Driven to learn and grow in your skills and knowledge.
- A sincere interest in quality in every detail and building beautiful landscapes.

**What you will be doing while working with us**:

- Carpentry - Decks, Fences, Pergolas, Roof Structures, Concrete Forming.
- Masonry - Flagstone patios and walkways, Water Features, Boulder Placement and retaining walls, Retaining Walls, Stone Facing, Stair Risers.
- Hardscape - Pavers, Concrete Block Walls, 4x4 or 6x6 Retaining Walls, Poured Concrete Walls and Flatwork.
- Softscape - Design and installation of new gardens, modifying and improving existing gardens, and Landscape Maintenance.
- Irrigation and landscape lighting, etc.
- Water features, ponds, etc.

Your starting hourly wage will be determined based on experience, skill level, and enthusiasm. Raises are based on length of employment and increases in ability and responsibility.

**Most of our projects are in North and West Vancouver**; we also work in Vancouver, Burnaby, and beyond for special projects. We've worked on Bowen Island, Eagle Island, and the Sunshine Coast.

*For any project outside of a 30-minute drive from North Vancouver, employees get paid for travel time.
