As a **People Leader**, you’ll partner with our leadership team to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and foster a positive work environment. You’ll help create scalable systems that empower teams, enhance performance, and uphold our mission, vision, and values.
**What You'll Do**:
- Partner with hiring managers to support pre-boarding, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including job descriptions and employment letters.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Address employee relations issues, resolve complaints, and collaborate with union representatives as needed.
- Manage grievance processes and disciplinary actions, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, investigating and resolving compliance risks.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend strategies to improve retention
**What We're Looking For**:
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or a related field (required).
- 5+ years of experience in a unionized environment, with hospitality or food service experience preferred.
- Professional designation (e.g., CHRM) is a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Expertise in Canadian labor laws; U.S. labor law knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 15% within Canada and the U.S., with valid work authorization.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills (French) are an asset.
