The Opportunity As a Prep Cook, you will aid in the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure the health and safety of participants and staff. **Responsibilities**: Working with the Head Cook, the Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing and serving healthy and balanced meals. Conduct housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain the kitchen in an organized, clean, safe and hygienic condition at all times. Regular inventory of kitchen equipment and supplies All kitchen staff members must be aware of children's food allergies and special dietary requirements. Responsible for the packing and delivering of meals to North End Hub. Responsible for distribution and cleanup of meals. Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma. Experience as a cook, preferably in a child care setting. NB Public Health Certification - Food Safety License. Able to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating a positive and productive manner within the team. First Aid/CPR is an asset and will be provided within the first month of employment. Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search along with clearance from the Department of Social Development.
