IOOF Seniors Homes Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable organization that has been serving the needs of seniors in Ontario for over 100 years. It is committed to serving seniors through the development of new and innovative concepts in support programs, health care services and housing initiatives.
The IOOF has recently embarked on the largest capital project in its history, with the launch of a $1.2 million redevelopment campaign to expand the facility to a 226-bed long-term care home. This transformative revitalization will create 64 new long-term care beds and 66 upgraded beds, modern spaces, updated equipment, private rooms, and increased square footage.
The Manager of Nutrition Services is responsible and accountable for the overall management and planning of the administrative and clinical activities related to the provision of food services to the residents, employees, and external clients of the IOOF. This management role is well suited to a highly motivated, self-directed, client-focused communicator with a demonstrated commitment to excellent service within a caring environment.
The education and experience requirements for this role are as follows:
- College Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management
- A Bachelor’s degree in institutional food service management/ business administration/ hotel and restaurant management (or a closely related field) an asset.
- Experience in geriatric care and/or a diploma/certificate in Long Term Care Management would be considered an asset.
- Current member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
- Certified Nutrition Manager as designated by the CSNM and Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC) an asset
- Minimum of five (5) years' increasingly responsible experience in commercial or industrial food preparation and service, including food service supervisory or management experience in a food services management position in the long-term care sector.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment

Pay: $66,700.00-$84,400.00 per year
