Floral Clerk

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greets customers and provides excellent customer service.
- Advise customers regarding the content and types of products/services available.
- Fulfilling customer floral arrangement needs and setting up and maintaining attractive floral displays.
- Suggest ways to care for goods.
- Perform cash transactions for floral goods using department cash register.
- Ensure orders are taken accurately and promptly in person and over the phone.
- Promote latest items and weekly specials and stay current on new trends and techniques.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Prepares the store for weekday and weekend opening and closing.
- Complies with store policies and procedures.
- Performs other tasks as required by management to meet business needs.
- Need to be available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Good communication skills.
- Customer Service oriented and able to make good decisions.
- Able to work under mínimal supervision and have attention to detail.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Experience in cash handling considered an asset.
- Experience creating bouquets an asset.
- Experience working in a floral shop an asset.
- Commercial floristry course is considered an asset.
