Strathcona Resources is actively seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team at our Calgary office.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Supply Chain Operations, the Supply Chain Specialist will perform the day-to-day Supply Chain activities to support the operations at various assets.- Provide procurement support to Strathcona Operations stakeholders.- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, capabilities, and any market trends.- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into SCM strategies and yearly procurement plans.- Plan, facilitate, and evaluate RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other competitive proposal processes.- Creation and management of purchase orders, service orders, and change orders.- Leverage buying power to negotiate contracts and achieve preferred pricing.- Negotiate commercial items and legal terms and conditions within contracts.- Coordinate with internal disciplines to understand critical timelines to ensure the timely delivery of the goods and services.- Solution/resolve such issues or disputes as they arise with suppliers, ensuring mínimal impact on the business.- Assist in development and maintenance of procurement plan.- Contributions to Corporate Weekly/Monthly reporting.- Support alignment of teams across disciplines to ensure corporate consistency is maintained.- Support all the functional groups in the Operations Supply Chain area.- Adhere to all Company policies and Procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, utilizing strong communication and organizational skills.- The role may be offered as either a full-time employee or a contract position.- Legally entitled to work in Canada.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment.- Strong communication and organizational abilities, with a team-oriented mindset.- Self -motivated, detailed orientated, open-minded and results driven.- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and strong decision-making and negotiation skills.- Proven ability to prioritize activities, manage competing priorities, and stay focused in a dynamic environment.- Minimum 10 years of Supply Chain experience in the Oil and Gas industry experience- Post Secondary Education, Completion or enrollment in the SCMP designation program are all a plus.- Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Upstream Operations.- Proficient and adaptable in ERP systems: possessing advanced computer knowledge and professional competence related to work functions in Maximo, AFE Navigator, OpenInvoice, OpenContracts, Qbyte, and Complyworks
