You may not even be thinking of a change but perhaps you should be** **Campbell Road Veterinary Services is approaching veterinary medicine from a new perspective.** Read on and see if we might be the right fit We are a small animal practice that stresses preventative care and quality of life for dogs and cats. We love being a pet's "family doctor". Our hospital has a team of wonderful supportive, genuinely nice people. We sit down with our clients and have a real conversation, something that unfortunately, is rare these days. We know that if people understand why they need to do something for their pet, then they are much more likely to do it. We believe the key to veterinary medicine is education and trust. Even our location is different, no strip mall for us The hospital is located on a farm, but we are only a short drive to Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, Kemptville, Perth and Ottawa. A nice quiet country setting, where you can look out the window and see horses, rather than traffic. The hospital is only staffed Monday to Friday. The hospital is closed on the stat/provincial holidays and closes between Christmas and New Year. Everyone needs a break and on holidays sick pets need to go the emergency hospital. The owner is needing more down time and her strategy is to increase the number of veterinarians to share the practice load while expanding the telemedicine and hybrid telemedicine aspect of the practice. Virtual veterinary appointments can be done from anywhere in the world as long as you have good internet connection We have tools and amazing staff that allow us to provide hybrid telemedicine services when a telephone or video call is not enough. Of course, some patients will still need to physically see a vet, which can be done by an on-site veterinarian when one is available or if need be, the patient can be referred. With the advancement of digital medicine we have tools such as transmitting stethoscopes to allow veterinarians to listen to their patients remotely. As we continue to build our "remote abilities" it will further allow more flexibility in our veterinarians' lives while still providing excellent care for our patients. We are looking for like-minded veterinarians to provide both virtual and on-site services on a very flexible schedule. We are open to veterinarians interested in working part-time or an occasional basis or an intermittent basis. Our vision is to allow veterinarians to provide much needed veterinary services while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
