Role Summary
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Specialist (MCS) will play an integral role in collaborating on marketing strategies and executing plans to communicate with our customers, operators, employees and the public, ensuring that messaging is consistent and that initiatives are in alignment with Century Group’s brands, overall plans and objectives.
- Please note this is a temporary position with a 14 month contract

Key Accountabilities
1. In consultation with the Director of Corporate Communications and Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist, the MCS plans, develops, contributes to, and implements proactive communication and marketing strategies to support internal and external audience engagement around organizational projects and priorities.
2. Supporting the development and management of marketing campaigns, helping to develop creative materials for marketing campaigns, and analyzing the effectiveness of those campaigns.
3. In consultation with the Director of Corporate Communications, and Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist, MCS will support departments and operators with their respective communication and marketing objectives.
4. Contributes to the overall goals of enhancing Century Group’s image and stature, engaging consumers in a broad range of CG initiatives, and increasing consumer reach to support the company’s strategic direction.
5. Supporting role to contribute to proactive communication plans that support CG objectives by planning and measuring outcomes.
6. Supports in coordinating placement for advertising campaigns and roll-outs.
7. In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Team, strategize and develop digital plans, and execute digital engagement opportunities, including social media.
8. Partner with teams to build content and storytelling moments.
9. Provided content support with websites (Wordpress & SquareSpace) updates, newsletters, blog posts, and promotional materials
10. Oversee day-to-day management of social media accounts.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (communications, marketing), complemented by six to eight years of communications experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in communication planning and executing marketing campaigns.
- Experience working in a real estate development environment.
- Experience creating sophisticated, clear, concise messaging specific to an audience.
- Experience in hospitality marketing is an asset.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Excellent skills in copywriting, photography, short video editing, and stories for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
- Advanced skills in Social Media Applications and content management and analytics on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Demonstrated project management skills and worked well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- In collaboration with internal and external creative teams, build and deliver on an annual social strategy that inspires, engages, and drives awareness
- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign
- Proficient with Canva and G-Suite
- Experience in managing Google My Business Accounts Audit and analyze engagement, following trends and data for websites and social media
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Graphic design skills are an asset
- Ability to travel to other work sites - Driver’s License (Class 5) required.
