Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is looking for a _Red Seal Journeyperson_ _Heavy Duty Truck Technician_ to join the Springfield Service Department. Reporting to the Foreman, the _Red Seal Journeyperson_ _Heavy Duty Truck Technician_ will provide timely and quality repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy-duty truck components. **The Role**: - Repair and maintain heavy duty truck components - Operate various manufacturer computer programs to run diagnostic tests - Diagnose trouble codes, disassemble engines and other truck components, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear - Recondition and replace truck parts and components using hand tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring instruments - Conduct preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components - Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances **Qualifications**: - Red Seal Journeyperson status in "Truck and Transport Mechanic" is required - Completion of a college/vocational or technical training in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic is considered an asset - Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team - Demonstrated knowledge and comprehensive understanding of technology and repair techniques - Time management skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment and produce positive results with diligent respect for deadlines - Problem solver with the ability to identify problems and implement solutions with keen attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to physically participate in job duties - Strong verbal and written communication skills **What We Offer**: - Annual tool and boot allowance - Company provided coveralls and safety gear - Company paid extended health, dental, and vision care - Long-term disability insurance - Life insurance - Company matched pension plan - Employee Assistance Program - Paid on-the-job training and continued paid training - Growth opportunities - Free on-site parking - Referral bonus program Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer.
