**SALARY: $ 29.380 (Min.) - $30.289 (Max.)

**ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT**
The Emergency Department is open 24 hrs/day 7 days per week. It is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of
registered nurses, registered respiratory therapists, social services, pastoral care, crisis intervention, orthopedic
technicians and other members of our health care team

**QUALIFICATIONS **
Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent required 
Medical Terminology Certificate required 
Experience in Emergency / Patient Registration/Bed Allocation is required or equivalent/preferred 
Keyboarding skills (60 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry Skills (6200 kph/95% accuracy) required 
Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the

health team required 

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire) 
Ability to work in a fast paced high stress environment required 
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focussed care

delivery and positive customer relations required 

Knowledge of Expanse is preferred 
Good attendance and work record required 
Must demonstrate commitment to ensure the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors 
Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this

organization 

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a requirement

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles:
providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral

centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it’s the specialized mental health

service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art regional health

centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
