**Pay Rate**: $19.13/hour

**Overview**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence at all times
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and property
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols and safety inspections
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance as required
- Complete detailed reports and investigations for incidents and occurrences
- Monitor patients and enforce hospital policies and by-laws
- Manage access control, keys, and safety compliance
- Collaborate effectively with teammates and supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid G Class driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
- Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2 (Completed immunization for MMR is required at time of hire - Applicants who cannot provide proof of MMR immunity at time of hire will not be eligible for the position.)
- Minimum 6 months of security experience (1+ year preferred)
- Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Must be able to site train at all four QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft)
- Must be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

**Nice to Have**:

- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants without these certifications may complete Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training prior to onboarding.
- Training costs are fully covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment to the position.
- Healthcare security experience considered an asset
