**Paladin Security is Hiring a Healthcare Security Guard**:
**About the Role**:
Paladin Security is hiring Casual Healthcare Security Guards to support the Quinte Health network, including facilities in Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft. This critical role involves ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. It requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong sense of public service.
**Position Details**:

- Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
- Employment Type: Casual
- Location: On-site across 4 Quinte Health facilities
- Availability: Must be able to work various 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
- Pre-deployment training location: Kingston, Ontario

**Responsibilities**:

- Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
- Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
- Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
- Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to):

- Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols
- Response & assistance in emergency situations
- Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift
- Investigate routine incidents
- Patient watches
- Parking & smoking by-law enforcement
- Hospital policy awareness & enforcement
- Access control/key control
- Monthly safety inspections
- Additional duties as assigned

**Requirements**:
**Must-Have Requirements**:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (WSIB-approved provider)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Double COVID-19 vaccination (proof required)
- Full MMR immunization (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Immunization records for Varicella, Pertussis, and TB (Step 1 & 2)
- Willing and able to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testing
- Valid G Class Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willing to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Must be able to rotate between all 4 Quinte Health sites
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
- Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB
- OR be willing to complete Paladin’s 4-day unpaid training (covered by company; requires 6-month commitment)
- **Nice-to-Have Qualifications**:

- 6+ months of customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in dynamic situations
