**Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic**

**Job description**

Ascent Transport is looking for an experienced full time Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to repair and maintain gas and diesel engines and heavy-duty construction equipment. Regular maintenance services, CVIP inspections, and trailer repair will be part of regular routines. We are a licensed AMVIC shop in Nisku, AB.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold a H.E.T. Journeyman's certificate with Red Seal. Will consider a H.E.T. On-Highway Journeyman with Red Seal or registered apprentices.
- 3 years experience as a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Possess valid class 5 driver's license. *(Class 1 or 3 -with airbrakes considered an asset).
- Acceptable Drivers Abstract *(Personal & Commercial)
- Commercial Vehicle License an asset
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally, in writing and electronically.

**Position Salary**

**Salary**: $35.00-$48.00 per hour

**Licence/Certification**
- Journeyman/Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $34.00-$48.00 per hour
