WHAT YOU'LL DO - Vendor Management: Ability to effectively act as a liaison between the company and suppliers, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring smooth communication. - Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Proficiency in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on project needs, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness. - Contract Negotiation: Strong skills in negotiating contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors to secure the best possible deals for the company. - Market Analysis: Capability to monitor market trends and price fluctuations of goods, providing relevant updates to stakeholders and making informed purchasing decisions. - Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to manage the flow of goods efficiently to support optimal production levels. - Purchase Order Processing: Experience in creating and processing purchase orders accurately and promptly to acquire necessary goods. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Skills in working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that procurement requests are processed accurately and on time. - Data Analysis and Reporting: Competence in analyzing data related to supplier performance, market trends, and pricing, and providing actionable insights and reports to management. - Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory management principles to ensure the right amount of stock is maintained to meet production needs without overstocking. - Quality Assurance: Ability to assess and ensure the quality of goods and services received from suppliers meets the company’s standards and requirements. - Risk Management: Skills in identifying potential risks related to procurement and developing strategies to mitigate them. - ERP Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for managing procurement processes and tracking supplier interactions and inventory levels. - Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in procurement to ensure all purchasing activities adhere to legal standards. - Deliver the X-FACTOR experience through excellence, expertise and extraordinary service. WHAT YOU'LL BRING - **At least 5 years' experience** with purchasing, procurement or supply chain in an industrial environment; - A degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or Logistics would be an asset - **Strong technical aptitude** to understand complex systems and component requirements. - Experience with **power generation** equipment or **data center** infrastructure is an asset. - Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
