We are currently looking for a full-time **Facilities Coordinator **to join our team.
**Job Summary**:
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for managing building maintenance and projects across all Yurek locations. This involves receiving maintenance requests, assessing the request, determining a solution, receiving quotes for maintenance or repair, supervising repairs as they occur, ensuring work is completed to established standards, and ensuring invoices and billings for all work is submitted as quoted. This position is also responsible for identifying and coordinating preventative building maintenance.
**Job responsibilities will include**:
- Regularly inspects facilities and may perform minor maintenance and repairs
- Responsible for afterhours/ weekend alarms (security, power failures, etc.) and willing to respond to emergencies on weekends and after hours as they occur
- Manage all Vendor relations pertaining to preventative maintenance activities, security, contractor work, inspections, and project work ensuring top quality, delivery, safety, and cost performance
- Working with the Buyer, obtain material/subcontractor pricing and prepare estimate for approval, and coordinate pick-up and delivery of materials from suppliers
- Responsible for internal programs including; pest control, fire inspection, waste management, and outdoor maintenance. Ensuring all needs are met and issues are resolved
- Ensure equipment such as heating, cooling, water etc. are maintained internally, by 3rd party vendors, or are maintained by the Landlord (where applicable)
- Assess situations that would be more cost effectively performed by outside contractors
- Follow all Company and legislated Health & Safety and Quality regulations and guidelines. Additionally, ensure compliance from any reports and outside contractors
- Perform additional duties, as assigned
**Education, Skills and Job Requirements**
- Completion of post-secondary education in a technical field
- 5+ years’ experience in property management, maintenance, or facility operations
- Proficiency in the use of a variety of tools and equipment
- The Facilities Coordinator will travel between all Yurek locations. The role involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.
- There is frequent need to stand, stoop, kneel, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Valid “G” class driver’s license and access to a vehicle required
- Proficient in the use of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Project Management knowledge for multiple sized projects
- Adept at overseeing subcontractors and trades people
- Be a proactive, strong team player with a can-do attitude
- Ability to manage changing priorities and the diverse facilities workload
