**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Continuing Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a safe and respectful environment. This position is ideal for those who have a passion for caregiving and a commitment to improving the lives of others.

**Duties**
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transfering, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing environment
- Assist in mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Must have up to date Transfer, Lift, and Respositioning training, and certificate (TLR)
- Must promote spiritual, physical mental and social well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment and follow infection control policies and proceedures.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia care and senior care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must have a Continuing Care Assistant, diploma.
- Must be able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record check

**Job Type**: Part-time
