Database Administrator

Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated of **Database Administrator - Senior for**one of our clients.

**Position: Database Administrator - Senior**

**Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)**

**Hybrid - 3 days on site and 2 remote**

**Duration: Long Term Contract**

**Must Haves**:

- 10+ years of demonstrated experience supporting/managing Oracle DB, including but not limited to architecture, installation, upgrade and patching of Oracle DB 12c, 19c, 21c+, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Analytics Server.
- 10+ years experience using SQL, VBSCript, PowerShell, and Python.
- 10+ years demonstrated experience in effectively organizing, communicating and collaborating with partners and stakeholders to understand business rules, data and develop automation reports, demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Microsoft O365 Tools and documentation repositories along with experience in Networker/Net backup scripting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide scripting skills in SQL, VBScript, Python and PowerShell.
- Provide technical expertise in the resolution of problems which may be very diverse and broad in scope; and to provide technical leadership and co-ordination for related mid-sized projects or parts of large and complex projects.
- Complex database management, patching/updating, and monitoring.
- Oracle RAC installation/configuration/administration on Exadata or Solaris/Linux.
- Oracle golden gate configuration/administration.
- Oracle 19c multitenant environment, exadata on premise and Cloud.
- Oracle upgrade from 12c to 19c. Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 13.4) report creation / customization.
- Knowledge of DB2 and SQL servers.
- Lead project teams in identifying and evaluating information technology options for clients, developing infrastructure or system modifications, evaluating and recommending acquisition of midrange hardware, software, services or production consumables.

**Evaluation Breakdown**

**1. Oracle DBA - 30%**

**Parameters**:
10+ years of demonstrated experience supporting/managing Oracle DB, including but not limited to architecture, installation, upgrade and patching of Oracle DB 12c, 19c, 21c+, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Analytics Server.

**2. Scripting Knowledge - 15%**

**Parameters**:
10+ years experience using SQL, VBSCript, PowerShell, and Python.

**3. Troubleshooting / Debugging - 10%**

**Parameters**:
10+ years experience troubleshooting coding and identifying/correcting database design flaws.

**4. OS Knowledge - 5%**

**Parameters**:
Working knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix.

**5. Communication and Collaboration - 5%**

**Parameters**:
10+ years demonstrated experience in effectively organizing, communicating and collaborating with partners and stakeholders to understand business rules, data and develop automation reports, demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Microsoft O365 Tools and documentation repositories.

**6. Tools Knowledge - 5%**

**Parameters**:
Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure performance and fault monitoring tools, including Oracle Enterprise Manager and Remedy.
