**Job Description**:
Sodexo is growing We are looking for a **Health Care Porter** to join our dynamic team. This position is a Part**-time role.** You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:
You are an experienced porter who enjoys working in a team environment ensuring high quality service and customer satisfaction. During your mandate you will be accountable for pick-up and delivery of materials. These may include blood products, blood gases, X ray films and records, reports (census, lab, radiology, nuclear medicine, physiotherapy), patient charts, personal belongings, portable equipment including medical gas cylinders, portable furniture, linen (clean and soiled) or any other items as assigned.

You will also be asked to move inpatients and outpatients as requested throughout the building, assists in moving patients to and from tables, beds, chairs, stretchers as required for preparation and completion of transport services. You will move deceased patients to morgue, have the responsibility for the pick-up and delivery of pharmacy medications and requisitions, specimens from all areas to the Laboratory, transportation of clean and dirty medical devices and instruments to and from MDRD and Biomedical Engineering.

We will ask you to ensure that Hospital policy and procedures including Infection Control, Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS and patient confidentiality standards are complied with.

You will attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated, comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. You will be asked to report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and whenever required, responds to assigned “Code” calls. You may perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

One year of previous porter experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. You must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, be willing to go beyond the basics. You have the ability to work under supervision and follow standard procedures, and compliance with all health and safety standards. You must provide Vulnerable Sector Background Check and Immunization Check.
