A consultant within the Pricing & Contracting group, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and execution of pricing and contracting activities. You will partner with management to review strategy and carry out the associated action items for the business. You will insure maintenance of process and compliance. This team member will partner closely with other departments and service organizations to contribute to the success of the company and will work cross functionally to analyze and report out the profitability of proposed and awarded tenders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Send price load direction to executed contracts
- Research pricing discrepancies
- Create and review expiration reports
- Capable of performing sales analytics with product / customer data
- Research account structure
- Proficient Excel Skills to do price and sales analytics for contract and price modeling for customers and proposals
- Continuously maintaining and updated Canadian Pricing File for the business and pricing is updated on contracts.
- Responsible for periodic analysis and reporting of key business metrics
- Monitors compliance to corporate or national account purchasing contracts.
- Responsible for analyzing proposed contracts and pricing alternatives
- Participates in design of proposed contracts and performs required analysis and examines alternatives
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- Responsible and familiar Company compliance with all Canadian and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
- Monitor Bid Sites daily for any upcoming Tenders
- Read through the Tender Documents and understand request for submission. Work as the lead for all Tenders with the cross functional teams and prepare all necessary documents for all bid submissions
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and equivalent work experience Contracting or related field is required
- 3+ of related experience in roles such as Contracts Analyst, Sales/Marketing Analyst
- Strong analytical and organization skills
- Customer service skills, which include the ability to gather feedback, display a sense of urgency, make recommendations, follow-up, and follow through to deliver timely solutions
- Bi-Lingual
- French-Canadian and English
- Proficiency to synthesize and clearly present large amounts of complex data verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, manage conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage high volume and effectively balance workload
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- The employee must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Team-oriented, committed, driven, assertive, curious and self-directed
- Must have a keen understanding of the Canadian marketplace we operate in and must have a working knowledge of our products and their uses
- The capacity to work in a team environment and manage projects accordingly
- Experience in contracting, contracting processes and systems knowledge
- Knowledge of efficient database setup and construction is highly desirable
- A keen understanding of process
- The aptitude to implement improvements
- Knowledge of the vascular space (cardiovascular or endovascular) or medical devices, especially Class III medical devices or implantable device
- Understand healthcare compliance, legal restrictions, business guidelines
- Strong communication skills for all levels and types of interaction - sales management, internal partners, customers (contract manager, materials management, A/P, lawyers)
- Good presentation skills - sales training, training at national sales meetings training to internal business partners
