Join to apply for the Pricing Analyst role at Staples Canada What you will do As a Pricing Analyst, you will provide analytical and strategic support to the Sales, Pricing, and Merchandising teams to empower business leaders to make timely and well-informed pricing decisions. You will use pricing and cost‑to‑serve modeling, analytics, legal agreement reviews, and collaborate with internal and external parties to obtain the best possible costing. You will work with multiple departments to present relevant information to senior leadership and support pricing activities that help the business achieve EBITDA targets. Responsibilities Prepare data for sales to present pricing information to customers, explaining pricing rationale, price levels, pricing levers, and providing supporting documentation. Find more efficient pricing methods and assess the feasibility of solutions with management. Adapt quickly to evolving business requirements such as new margin targets, revenue strategies, technologies, product assortment, etc. Identify key risks and opportunities and highlight them for the sales team and management. Work with other teams throughout the customer life cycle on pricing activities such as account penetration, inflation recovery, account reviews, margin improvement, ad‑hoc reporting and analysis, re‑acquisition, etc. Create tool‑agnostic solutions and develop user‑friendly reports for complex datasets. Ensure accuracy of customer‑facing documents, including bid pricing submissions, financial offering documents, and any pricing or product answers that may be included in legal agreements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, accounting, finance or equivalent work experience. Technical skills: Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, Google BigQuery, Python (considered an asset). Skilled at using data to derive actionable insights. Creatively solves complex and ambiguous problems. Manages multiple tight timelines and changing priorities. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
