**Job Overview**:
Under the general supervision of the Line Leader or Production Supervisor; the Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the equipment is operated safely and correctly by utilizing monitors and gauges on the equipment. He/she will ensure that equipment is operated within process specifications and that good quality product is produced at all times.

**Shifts Available**:

- Afternoon Shift: 2:45pm - 11:00pm

**Location**:Rivermede Facility - 370 N Rivermede Rd, Concord, ON L4K 3N2

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure Health & Safety, Safe Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed
- Ensure safety guards are in place and keep all safety guards in place on machines while in operation
- Respond to any defects or issues with the machine (i.e. lights, alarms, visual indicators) and notifies the supervisor and maintenance of needed repairs
- Perform changeovers to accommodate different sizes of packaging materials or product change
- Remove scrap from the machine and maintain housekeeping in and around your working area
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare equipment and ensure the machines are properly shut down after production
- Follow company’s health and safety program, rules, and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, food manufacturing experience is an asset

**Working Conditions**:

- Fast paced environment in an automated, high-speed manufacturing facility
- Temperature controlled and clean working environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs
