Nanaimo, Canada Home Instead Full time

**Location**: Ladysmith, BC
**Shifts**: 12-hour shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays, Sundays
**Rotation**: 2-4 days per week
Home Instead is seeking an energetic Care Professional to provide 1:1 care for a client in Ladysmith, BC. This role involves ensuring the client's safety, comfort, and enjoyment during outings and indoor activities, such as shopping. The Care Professional should be comfortable driving a wheelchair-accessible van as well as providing personal care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular health assessments and report any changes in the client's condition to medical professionals.
- Accompany the client on outings and indoor activities, ensuring their safety throughout.
- Provide personal care assistance, including help with hygiene, dressing, and other daily activities.
- Drive a wheelchair-accessible van for transportation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment for the client.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working in home care, rehabilitation, or similar settings.
- Ability to provide 1:1 care and adapt to the client's unique needs including personal care.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to offer emotional support.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must reside in Canada (no LMIA offered at this time).
