**Intermediate Environmental Professional**

TerraWest Environmental is searching for an ambitious and growth-minded intermediate level Environmental Professional for our Nanaimo office.

The Intermediate Environmental Professional is an important team member in the execution of Phase I and II environmental site assessments, Stage 1 and 2 preliminary and detailed site investigations, hazardous materials investigations, environmental remediation, compliance monitoring, auditing, and related. As part of the role, you will expand on your knowledge of project logistics, client liaison, budgeting, and problem solving.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in a field relevant to the position. Membership with a professional organization is an asset;
- Minimum of 3 years’ environmental consulting experience preferably within BC;
- Minimum 1.5 years direct experience in contaminated sites assessments and remediation;
- Strong computer skills with an ability to learn new programs quickly;
- A professional attitude to written and oral communications with clients and colleagues;
- A positive, friendly, team-oriented attitude;
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.;
- Willing to cross-train if necessary for hazardous materials investigations;
- Ability to occasionally drive to other locations in BC in the course of normal work;
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record;
- Must have own vehicle or ability to access vehicle on short demand.
