Wheels for the wise is a non-emergency medical transportation company who assist Veterans and others to get to and from medical appointments, such as doctors appointments, physio, dentist, day surgeries, massage and many others. This is an amazing opportunity for someone that wishes to help Veterans in your area. Since we are growing so rapidly this position is primarily to assist with the "Dispatch Center" in Nepean, Ontario. For those that want to pursue a new career in office management, those positions are starting to develop within our organization as well. We are a truly relaxed organization focused on customer service and our pursuit to offer the highest level of service to our Veterans in Canada. We are currently looking for one driver/ Dispatch support worker(s) in Ottawa. This position is mainly for our dispatch center however a requirement is you will also need to be a driver. What we are looking for: Veteran / Retired RCMP preferred but not necessary Position is part-time / Casual 5 to 30hrs a week that could lead to management with growth of the business. Full time hours not available unless rapid promotion into management. Detail Oriented IS A MUST Bilingualism (English/French) is not needed but as asset Experience in Database entry is not needed but as asset MUST have clean drivers abstract MUST pass vulnerable sector check MUST be able to temporarily support someone's weight PREFERRED Location of driver is in Ottawa WEST, but not necessary Polite and Caring Demeanor, in person and on the phone Smartphone required Experience with individuals with PTSD is an asset **Job Types**: Part-time, Casual Pay: From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week **Benefits**: - On-site parking Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends - On call Application question(s): - Are you a Veteran or Active in the Veteran Community? - Are you open to do at least two 6hr shifts a week in the dispatch center, speaking with our Veteran clients and setting up some of their drives as well as occasionally driving a Veteran to their appointment every now and then? **Experience**: - driving: 10 years (required) **Language**: - French (preferred) Work Location: In person
