**Overview**

**Responsibilities**

Packagers shall prepare finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in cardboard packs, wrapping and strapping, and building crates/Pallets to ship across North America. You will be operating one of the only Variable Cardboard Machines in Canada. This is a piece of equipment that will create variable sizes of boxes on demand. At Kitch we ship cabinet doors and drawers, the material is valuable and great care must be taken. Attention to detail is a critical aspect of the position.

Packaging Duties
- Sorting and checking bulk order cabinet parts
- Experience boxing parts and using a strapping machine
- Learn various Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Operates various types of packaging equipment
- Must be able to read computer screens and use scanning equipment
- Using packing and strapping equipment or other material to prevent breakage or damage
- Inserting enclosures in packages
- Closing and sealing crates
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Picking and packaging sample orders to ship to customers

**Shipping/Receiving Duties**

Work requires the placing of items in tractor-trailers, trucks. It will also require receiving material, sorting and repacking.
- Knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify the content
- Attention to detail when receiving and confirming contents of shipments
- Using online portals to book freight shipments
- Comparing cost on freight carriers to ensure best available options
- Shipper will be required to move pallets and material around the warehouse, Forklift and pallet jack experience a plus

**Qualifications**
- Must have experience as a Packager/Order Picker
- Good hardworking attitude
- Must have moderate level of keyboard and PC skills
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a minimum of one year of general work experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
