**About the Position**

The hourly wage for this co-op position is $21.00 CAD.

**What You'll Do**
- Support and perform mammalian tissue culture, maintaining numerous tumor cell lines using sterile technique.
- Work with your team to ensure cell lines are properly expanded, cryopreserved, and databases updated as required.
- Perform functional characterization of antibodies and ADCs using flow cytometry, high throughput screening, 3D tissue culture, cell growth inhibition assays with various read-out modalities (luminescence, fluorescence, absorbance), and other methods as required.
- Perform experiments, analyze and disseminate data in group meetings.
- Adhere to Zymeworks standard procedures for generating, documenting, and archiving data, maintaining an accurate, up-to-date electronic laboratory notebook.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with scientific standards, OS&H regulations and established Zymeworks policies and practices.
- Contribute to a safe and highly efficient laboratory environment through ordering of consumables, preparation of solutions, stocking of consumables, and maintaining a clean working environment.

**What You'll Bring**
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or a related discipline, and successful completion of at least one relevant co-op term is required. Availability for an 8-month co-op term is also required.
- Experience involving mammalian tissue culture, cell-based assays, flow cytometry, fluorescence imaging, protein purification and quantification or immunocytochemistry would be an asset.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills particularly with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with or knowledge of GraphPad Prism and FlowJo software are considered an asset.
- Basic working knowledge of antibody structure and function.
