Tomlinson is currently seeking a Truck Foreman to join our team in Kingston. The Foreman is responsible for truck & driver daily operational activities. The incumbent reports to the Site Manager. This will be a non-union position.

Location: 633 Fortune Crescent, Kingston, ON

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participate in the daily scheduling of drivers
- Ensures employees and equipment are to work location on time daily
- Verifies employee attendance and replaces as necessary
- Ensures morale is maximized through daily interactions
- Reviews and monitors hours worked for accuracy prior to submission to payroll
- Daily job site visits to ensure maximum efficiencies of resources used
- Liaises between the management team and the driver team
- Monitors and ensures compliance for drivers’ hours of service
- Conducts and documents Health & Safety meetings and help lead driver team to maintain CoR certification requirements
- Assists garage supervisors in scheduling of maintenance and repairs
- Participate in hiring new truck drivers
- Follows up with Health & Safety to ensure new employee orientation has been conducted
- Perform ride-along driver evaluations
- Responsible for driver vacation allowances and time-off requests
- Conducts performance management meetings, including writing up disciplinary actions in an unbiased, consistent manner
- Completes accident and incident reports and files them with the H&S
- Monitors truck cleanliness and ensures non-essential items are not present
- Monitors license compliance with MTO through drivers abstracts.
- May need to act as driver back-up or support for dispatch during vacations and may provide back-up for other roles within the division
- Any special projects or additional requirements as deemed necessary by management

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- The working conditions require the ability to work in all weather conditions
- Periodic heavy lifting required - up to 50 lbs
- Long periods of driving
- Assist with on call duties to handle/dispatch regarding department employee or equipment issues

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- 10 years of working industry experience
- 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
- Must have a valid AZ license
- Comfortable presenting to large groups of people
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Sound computer skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Working knowledge of MTO regulatory requirements
