**Head Golf Professional**

**Position Description**:
This position will be responsible for managing all golf related business activities for Cattail Crossing Golf and Winter Club. The Head Golf Professional will report directly to the General Manager. This position will be required to plan, promote and direct all golf activities including daily management responsibilities; prepare annual and monthly budgets for golf operations; organize and conduct club and outside tournaments and related events; consults with the General Manager about all golf related operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plans, promotes and directs all golf activities including daily management responsibilities.
- Prepares annual and monthly budgets for golf operations; takes corrective actions as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained.
- Selects, supervises, trains and evaluates staff.
- Orders merchandise for golf shop, providing the best selection possible within the constraints of inventory and quality and quantity limits set by the General Manager.
- Orders supplies associated with golf activities.
- Maintains attractive, orderly appearance in pro shop.
- Provides golf lessons to members and guests.
- Plans professional development and training activities for subordinates.
- Collects charges and fees for all golf-related activities.
- Interprets and enforces club policies, rules and regulations.
- Cooperates with the grounds superintendent relating to maintenance issues that affect the playability of the golf course.
- Attends all staff and management meetings.
- Maintains records relating to player and guest rounds and other statistics.
- Schedules staff hours to assure that members are fully served and that labor costs are maintained.
- Assists in the development of short and long range plans for improvements to the club facilities and courses.
- Attends national and sectional conferences and meetings, merchandise shows, educational and professional shows to encourage development and enhance quality and image of the club.
- Interacts with food and beverage manager and head chef about food and beverage needs for events.
- Maintains visible presence on the course during peak times of play.
- Provides golf-related information to all members.
- Works shifts as necessary and operates POS to ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter.
- Performs monthly inventory and maintains proper levels while preventing shortage.
- Assists with development of standard operating procedures in relation to Cattail Crossing Golf and Winter Club course and facilities.
- Maintains membership log and participates in billing and generating new membership opportunities.
- Execution of all details regarding tournaments or outings, interacts with the Director of Hospitality, the Front of House Manager and Head Chef to ensure that events run flawlessly.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the General Manager.

**Operational Expectations**:

- Attend weekly staff meetings - provide action plans and completion dates.
- Maintain a staff calendar for planning and outlining golf / maintenance operations.
- Hiring of other golf staff positions and review wage / salary budgets for staffing positions.
- Review the Golf Course HSE program for continuous improvements to health and safety of staff and guests.
- Work with the General Manager to determine a budget for the summer and establish a rate system.
- Manage golf simulators for the winter season.
- Work with the General Manager and the marketing team to promote Junior program, Men’s league, Women’s league
- Determine a plan and marketing strategy for tournaments.
- Work with the marketing team on the website for the golf course, ensuring there are regular calendar / event updates and real-tie information about various activities and offerings.
- Regular POS system updates and maintenance to ensure information is relevant and current.
- Manage inventories for pro shop and all equipment / tools.
- Staff training - review content, timing and duration annually with the General manager.
- Ensure staff are always trained on / aware of promotions and campaigns.
- Work with industry reps to determine brands for the course.
- Manage training and reporting system for all course personnel including maintenance, and greens/pro shop

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
