**Position Overview**
The Project Manager establishes and implements project and portfolio management, process optimization and quality assurance methodology and best practices, in a way that encourages collaboration, standardization and overall improvement in projects results across the organization landscape.
**Responsibilities** Key Responsibilities**:
- Manages medium to large projects through the project lifecycle, including developing charters, plans, schedules, and budgets; allocating resources; monitoring performance against schedule, budget, and quality targets; managing changes, issues and risks to ensure alignment to original vision and business objectives.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with other project managers, cross-functional project teams, management and other internal /external stakeholders in order to identify and report on goals and current state of initiatives.
**Advanced Responsibilities**:
- Develops appropriate business initiative deliverables, monitoring tools, validation test plans, and governance, which serve the needs of internal stakeholders.
- Develops roadmaps, timelines, identifies risks & mitigations, and interdependencies. Drives execution in collaboration with the functional leads. Develops content for updates, decks and positioning messages associated with initiatives that are adapted for audiences ranging from initiative leads to S Management.
- Self-starter who proactively solves problems through collaboration and research on best practices and provides mock-ups and/or starter deliverables to mature with the teams.
- Understand projects’ interdependencies and connect them to broader organizational goals.
- Fosters a positive, collaborative and engaged work environment.
**Requirements** Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position or as a Project/Program Manager
- Experience with different system development life cycles and quality programs
- PMP accreditation in progress
- Excellent knowledge of MS Project and Project Server or other project management tools and techniques
- Excellent knowledge of project management financial and reporting aspects (Cost/Benefit Analysis, Net Present Value, Earned Value Management)
- Excellent knowledge of the insurance/reinsurance industry (FLMI or FFSI accreditation, preferable)
- Certified Six Sigma or Certified Software Quality Engineer, preferable
**Abilities**:
- Bilingual French/English (oral and written) is required given the need to communicate orally and in writing with predominantly English-speaking project stakeholders based outside of Québec.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to develop effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent sense of analysis and result-oriented
- Flexible, innovative, quick learner
- Ability to diagnose problems and provide solutions
- Capacity to manage and organize (ability to undertake several tasks simultaneously)
- Team spirit
