As Office Based Medical Affairs (Vaccines) Manager, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership for Vaccine Medical Affairs activities, including building, coaching, and mentoring the Vaccine Medical team. You will provide medical governance and compliance oversight for Vaccine focused medical activities. You will also utilize customer insights to provide strategic input into global and regional medical strategy development.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Serve as a scientific, clinical, and medical content expert for the Vaccines portfolio
- Collaborate with the commercial teams in Vaccines in local operating companies (LOC) to drive development and implementation of strategic medical operational and external engagement plan
- Recruit and manage Medical Advisors within LOC, ensuring focus on priority activities in line with global strategy
- Partner within Global and Regional Medical Affairs to develop Vaccine Medical strategy
- Coordinate the generation of Vaccine medical insights and integrate them into operational plans
- Manage all Vaccine Medical activities within their designated scope, schedule, and resources
- Support clinical research across the continuum, including investigator sponsored and collaborative studies and company sponsored trials
- Ensure the strictest requirements are met particularly with respect to delivery of promotional versus non-promotional information
- Prepare for and engage with NITAGS and Public Health Authorities for the purposes of supporting access to and implementation of GSK Vaccines

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- PhD
- 5 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a medical function
- Experience in people management
- Working experience engaging in scientific exchange with external experts and NITAGs
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- MD - Infectious Disease, Immunology, Public Health
- Significant experience in a role successfully engaging in scientific exchange with external experts
- Excellent presentation and teaching skills to represent the company in a professional manner at medical, scientific and public events
- Solid understanding in clinical, medical and pharmaceutical science with the ability to rapidly assimilate specific and detailed knowledge in these areas
- Experience evaluating and effectively communicating evidence-based medicine
- Leadership experience with the ability to lead change
- Ability to work in matrix and cross functional teams
- Strong scientific communication and presentation skills
