We are looking for an **Accounting Manager** to join our team Flexible work arrangements are available for this position. Business operating hours are 8-5 Monday - Friday, no weekends.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- **Full Cycle Accounting and Financial Statements**: Prepare monthly financial statements, and manage year-end financial statement preparation
- **Payroll Management**: Process payroll on a regular basis and ensure accuracy in reporting to government agencies (processing ROEs and year end T4s)
- **Group Insurance Administration**: adding and removing employees as necessary and updating rates as needed
- **Government filings and reconciliations**: Prepare and process HST filings, Worker’s Compensation reporting, pay import fees to broker and CBSA, file Stats Canada reports
- **Occupational Health & Safety**: Perform monthly checks of safety equipment and participate in monthly OHS meetings
- **Efficiencies**: Find solutions to make accounting or business processes more efficient
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Work effectively with other employees and proactively communicate with owners

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in an accounting position
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in computer operation including Microsoft Office suite, (intermediate Excel abilities), and motivation to learn new accounting software programs
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Well organized, possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Hard working, self-accountable and solution-oriented

Wages are commensurate with experience.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
