MOBIA is currently recruiting a Telecom Technician to join our team. With a passion for technology and customer service you will be an integral part of a team with great attention to detail and respect for a job well done.

**Responsibilities may include, depending on experience**:

- Installation, testing & commissioning of telecom and networking equipment
- Running of cables; including DC power, fiber optic & copper cables
- Termination of DC cables, networking cables (Cat 5/6) & wire wrap
- Fiber splicing & testing of both loose tube and ribbon fiber
- Installation of relay racks, cabinets and associated networking/telecom hardware
- Installation of cable rack and fiber management systems
- Testing and troubleshooting of issues
- Opening and closing of customer Tickets
- Reception of materials, opening and verification of contents
- Reporting to your immediate manager any issues or missing items
- Reading and understanding technical documents, and/or equipment installation manuals; plan and complete jobs in accordance with these guidelines
- Following customer provided installation standards
- Maintaining records and as-built documents
- Includes frequent travel throughout Ontario. A vehicle will be provided for travel

**Skills / Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a similar program would be considered an asset
- Previous experience working as a Telecom Technician or Structured Cabling Technician would be considered an asset
- Comfortable working with hand tools
- Good Knowledge AC/DC theory
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- High aptitude for troubleshooting and working under pressure
- Solid written and verbal communication
- IT and PC knowledge and understanding
