**Experience Required**:

- Previous experience and knowledge of audio-video and home automation equipment.
- Experience with automation systems including Crestron & Control 4.
- Possess strong written and oral English communication skills.
- Responsible for installation and wiring equipment such as televisions, audio systems, home automation systems, motorized shades, lighting control, video conferencing equipment etc. in new and existing construction, primarily within a residential & commercial construction setting.
- Wiring, installation of Structured Cabling, Audio Visual Automation Systems & Home Theatre/Surround Sound Systems, Networking, Lighting & Security Systems
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems.
- Ensures finishing work, equipment and fixtures are satisfactorily installed to the corporate standard, site drawings and the applicable building and electrical codes.
- Manages parts and materials inventory and ensures accurate billing to customers.
- Ability to learn and adapt to an ever-changing field of technology. Stays current with industry changes and trends, including changes to the building and electrical codes
- Proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize demands.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work both individually and in a team environment that may consist of multiple trades
- Excellent customer service skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Secondary Education. Some College &/or Technical Trade training in electronics or telecom is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years experience in installing AV equipment.
- Experience with programming/commissioning Crestron & Control4 processors considered an asset.
- Must be able to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in computer skills; including MS operating system and office software package.
- Must have strong interpersonal, communicational, and organizational skills.
- Must have a valid G driver's license and a good driving record.

- $20-$30 per hour based on experience and qualifications above
- Work vehicle to be provided to you by IDG
- All necessary tools/equipment will be provided to you by IDG
- Laptop with all necessary software to program and commission AV Systems provided to you by IDG
