Regional Dental Technology Trainer

**Job Overview**:
123Dentist is looking for a dynamic Regional Dental Technology Trainer to join our growing organization. This position will be located in **Toronto, ON**. Reporting to the Director, Dental Hygiene Operations, as Regional Dental Technology Trainer you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and executing initial iTero scanner training and ongoing support to our dentists throughout our growing network of practices. Responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to, teaching dental professionals how to effectively use digital technology to educate patients and elevate the patient experience, how to efficiently and comfortably scan patients for orthodontics, restorative work and education and how to incorporate scanning as part of a standard of care.

Once the initial (in-person and virtual) iTero scanner training has been completed, the Regional Dental Technology Trainer will monitor integration and create action plans to ensure the technology fully incorporated into the dental practice’s Digital Dental Workflow.

The Regional Dental Technology Trainer will have a high degree of attention to detail and be an effective and engaging presenter, both written and verbal, in order to educate and motivate dental professionals and their patients on the benefits of digital dentistry.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Introduce the Digital Dental Workflow by providing initial scanner training and continued support to doctors and teams utilizing the iTero Scanner
- Guide teams on optimal patient care and education using digital technology
- Track office scanner utilization for a determinate period after initial training
- Collaborate with other members of the scanning team and education department the creation or modification of training as needed
- Introduce verbiage on comprehensive care options including clear aligner therapy to help patients keep their teeth for life
- Deliver supplemental educational content utilizing various delivery methods
- Stay up to date on the latest features of digital scanners and work with offices to incorporate those features
- Facilitate study club classes, other programs, and actions to advance the knowledge and skill of utilizing the scanner
- Collaborate with our external partners to further integrate scanning and comprehensive patient education
- Ensure scanning is the standard of care in 123 Dentist offices
- Support practices as they integrate clear aligner therapy into their standard of care.
- Introduce restorative scanning to replace traditional impressions for optimal patient experience
- Other duties as required by the Director, Dental Hygiene Operations

**Education, Credentials, Qualifications**:

- Clinical experience with a minimum of five (5) years of working in dentistry and two (2) years of mentoring other team members
- Requires up to 75% travel
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and collaborate with others
- Influence doctors and teams to take action, strong communicator

**Required Skills & Abilities**
- Dental Hygiene experience and active licensure/registration for your province
- Dental Assisting experience and active licensure for your province
- Dental Assisting Ortho Module Completed
- Digital scanning experience
- Knowledge of restorative dentistry and clear aligner therapy

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
