Job description

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for helping oversee the construction activities that take place on multiple worksites. You will be involved in the supervision of sub-trades, and maintaining compliance with Dwell Livings quality standards.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assistant Supervise all work crews on the site including employees, sub-trades, and visitors
- Direct all field staff to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget
- Ensure all work on site is completed to Dwell Living quality standards
- Understand the project plans/specifications to identify possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems
- Manage the day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestone dates, and overall schedule completion date is met
- Manage changes in project scope to ensure that the most current contract documents are used at all times to prevent avoidable re-work
- Liaise with Project Manager as needed to provide updates and possible changes to project schedule
- Expedite project deficiency lists as our commitment to client satisfaction
- Ensure all employees and contractors adhere to safety policy/standards to maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are complied with

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site working experience for a General Contractor in the construction industry with commercial, retail, and industrial new building construction
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, continually changing environment (dealing with trades, budget constraints, tight project deadlines)
- Previous experience overseeing multiple buildings/sites or projects
- Construction Management certificate/diploma or Trade Qualification is considered an asset
- Successful track-record in completion of residential and commercial projects
- Demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with the construction of commercial buildings, tenant improvements and related site-work
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SiteMax (Project Tracking/Timecard System)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
