**Medical Transitions Clinic**

Under the direction of the Manager, Medical Transitions Clinic (MTC), the clerk performs clerical duties associated

with the overall function of the outpatient clinic.

Qualifications:

- Secondary school diploma with a certificate in Secretarial Arts/Office Administration or equivalent experience (1

year minimum)
- Minimum 2 years recent experience (during past 5 years) in a clinical care setting, preferably in an outpatient

program
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
- Excellent administrative and computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Groupwise
- Experience with Meditech Information Systems, specifically Community Wide Scheduling
- Experience generating technical reports from multiple data sources
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and standard abbreviations particularly in the complex medical field
- Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, keyboard, telephone)
- Radiates a positive attitude and collaborative approach to interprofessional colleagues
- Highly motivated & organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently
- Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systems and potential process flow improvements

Salary Range: $25.528 to 26.178
