**Responsibilities**:

- Clean, dust and vacuum residents' suites and public areas of the residence, i.e. common areas, lounges, corridors and elevators.
- Clean and sanitize residents' bathrooms and all washrooms in the residence, including all fixtures, tiles, floors, vanity and mirrors.
- Clean rooms vacated by residents and prepare rooms for incoming residents.
- Collect refuse from residents' rooms and other areas of the residence and dispose of this refuse in accordance with set procedures.
- Clean and restock housekeeping cart.
- Report malfunctions in equipment and repairs needed to Maintenance Department through the Maintenance Book at reception.
- Notify when housecleaning supplies are low.
- Notify of any resident issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including fire and safety programs.
- Perform laundry duties.
- Restock paper supplies and soap in washrooms.
- Change residents’ beds weekly.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a retirement home.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, kneeling and moving of light objects.
- Must be willing to work as a team player and demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Must provide a police check.
- Bilingualism is an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
