**Algonquin Wilderness Adventure Tour Operator - HOUSEKEEPING - Cleaner** **Position**:Housekeeping - Cleaner **Type**:Part-time++ Seasonal variable days including weekends (30-38 hours per week) time of year dependent. Opportunity to add on other roles should their be a fit. **Accommodation**:Lakeside Cabin (shared, optional) if not local **Employer**:Voyageur Quest and Voyageur Outfitting **Location**:based out of Algonquin Park Access Pt #1, east of South River, Ontario The Housekeeper - Cleaner supports the needs of the Algonquin Log Cabin, the Algonquin Cottages, the Canoe Outpost Cabins, and the Algonquin VO Outfitter. **The Coordinator is responsible for cleaning and preparing our off-the-grid spaces for our customers' pre/post-check-in and for seasonal deep cleans.** - Preparing fresh, clean guest spaces. - Cleaning to standard a variety of space types: log cabin, mainland and island cottages, cabin and bunkhouse, outfitter, etc - Can Include cleaning outdoor decks, gazebo, shower house/sauna, outhouses, composting toilets - Cleaning outdoor bathroom/shower houses, outhouses, composting toilets - Tracking and reporting damages, and/or improvements - Ensuring our linens are promptly sent and received to and from the laundry service. - Keeping our cleaning supplies and linens in stock and organized in our housekeeping areas. - Updating and utilizing VQ housekeeping checklists - Ability to track staff scheduling app and to follow Google calendar anticipating new bookings. **Requirements**: - Excellent cleaning abilities - Attention to detail - Organized - Experience as a cleaner or housekeeper - Dependable and on time - Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality - Enjoy working indoors and out. - Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance - Enjoy being at the edge of Algonquin Park a special appreciation for Algonquin Park and our wilderness "off the grid" environment. - We'd like to hear from you if you enjoy active, outdoor work - Please send a resume and cover letter outlining your interest and availability Qualifications: - Requires completion of High School Diploma or equivalent. - A minimum of two (2) years of considerable position-related experience - Proven track record with housekeeping - Strong organization, interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a small team. - Must have a Drivers license and car to get to and from work. - Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills - Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) **Contract from**:Seasonal or year-round opportunities available **Compensation**:$20-$25/hour depending on experience **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Contract length: 5 months Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Holidays - Monday to Friday - Overtime - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Application question(s): - Do you drive and have a car to be able to get to work? - We are a wilderness tour operator.
