**Summary**

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. Duties will include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from walkways, mowing lawns. The Maintenance Worker shall ensure that the grounds are maintained appropriately. The Maintenance Worker shall also be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition, and will perform duties, painting, assembling products etc.

**Hours of Work **70 hours bi-weekly $20.31 per hour

**Job Duties could include but not limited to**:

- Perform general clean-up of all facilities.
- Comply with Health and Safety and WHMIS requirements for Personal Protective Equipment.
- Respond to requests for maintenance repairs
- Sweep, mop, polish, of halls, board room, store, café etc
- Perform regular property inspections of the common areas, building exterior, and landscape.
- Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs/tubes.
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
- Prepare, paint interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
- Three years of maintenance experience.
- Ability to perform small repairs (e.g. caulking, replacing washers, and replacing light fixtures).
