**Position Overview**

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the CAD Technician will be responsible for all facets of designing and detailing windows and doors to present to the customer as well as detail drawings for manufacturing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Using CAD software prepare approval drawings for client sign off as well as create cut lists, and other detailed information for purchasing and manufacturing processes.
- Support our mill with tooling requirements - includes drawings and working directly with supplier to ensure accuracy of tooling / dies.
- Provide support to sales and manufacturing teams.
- Liaise with CAD team to ensure accuracy of drawings - attention to detail critical

**Required Knowledge & Experience**
- Proficient in use of CAD software; MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Minimum one year of CAD Drafting experience
- Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology diploma preferred.
- Knowledge of the window and door industry an asset
- Familiarity with 3D design software is a strong asset.
- Strong math skills including the ability to read dimensions both Imperial and Metric.
- Ability to read and scale blueprints, cross sections and shop drawings a must.
- Possesses exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
